Klamath Falls Ruth Doris Smith 1939 — 2024 Ruth Doris Smith, 85, was born Jan. 20, 1939, as a twin, in Queens, New York, N.Y., to Henry and Martha (Berger) Bischoff. She passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on June 15, 2024, in Klamath Falls, Ore. She died peacefully at her home with her daughter Alison and her husband, Mike by her side. Ruth grew up in Queens Borough, N.Y., where she was baptized June 4, 1939, in the Lutheran church, attended grammar school, and graduated from Baldwin High School on Long Island, N.Y. Klamath Falls, Oregon Evelyn Virginia Olson 1929 — 2024 Evelyn V. Olson passed away and went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2024. She was born on March 25, 1929 to Loyd W. and Bernice Tate of Hoisington, Kansas. In 1949 she married Gordon C. McKay and had 5 beautiful children: Donna, David, Gordon Jr., Judy and Marilyn. Evelyn was a wonderful homemaker and cook who also had several jobs as a secretary and bookkeeper. In 1986, at a Klamath High School Reunion, she met an old classmate with whom she reacquainted with and married 3 months later. They were together for over 30 years and lived most of the time in Chandler, Arizona. In her later years she loved spending time with her two sisters, Edie Hess and Rosanna Roberts playing cards....

Jose was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on July 18, 1951 to Paz Marquez and Maria Loya. Kennewick, WA, Oregon Lyle E. Kensler 1941 — 2024 Lyle E. Kensler passed away from kidney stone complications on June 1, 2024 in Kennewick, Washington surrounded by family. Lyle was born on September 22, 1941 to Earl and Flora Kensler in Dupree, South Dakota. On January 26, 1963, Lyle married Janell (Cloud) Kensler in Payette, Idaho. Lyle had great memories of growing up and hunting with his dad every weekend and sharing the meat with family and friends. Later he moved to Payette, Idaho where he graduated from high school and met and married Janell. In 1975, he and Janell moved their family to Weiser, Idaho where he worked as a State Farm Insurance Agent before being promoted to Agency Field Executive and moving to Kennewick, Washington...

Tulelake Virginia Ruth Simon 1940 — 2024 Virginia Simon, of Tulelake, Calif., passed away on May 31, 2024, at the age of 83. Virginia was born on Aug. 12, 1940, in Red Bluff, Calif., and joined sisters Lorraine, Marie, "Corky" and Elsie on the farm in Los Molinos, Calif. They moved to Lee Vining, Calif., where Virginia was proudly the first member of her family to graduate from high school. She met her soulmate John "Leo" Simon, and they married Aug. 9, 1961. After moving to Tulelake, they welcomed their first child, Donald. The family continued to grow with the addition of Ronald, Ed, Fred and Jennifer. Mary, age 74, was born to Maury and Betty Creedican on 29 May 1950 in Tacoma, WA. In 1952, her family relocated to Klamath Falls, OR where Mary was raised with her brother, Pat Creedican, and sister Kathy Creedican. She attended Sacred Heart Academy and Oregon Institute of Technology. Mary was quietly adventurous, working seasonal jobs at Yosemite National Park, a local lumber mill, and three summers as a fire lookout on local mountain tops. She was born September 17, 1947 in Klamath Falls, OR to Vance and Hilda Matney. She graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1965. Fran worked at Mac's Store for about forty years. She loved her animals and reading books. She is survived by her sons Jason and Brian Plowman; also daughter-in-law Kelli Plowman, sisters Joan Knoder and Mary Weaver, and numerous nieces and nephews.
