Hello everyone, I'm currently considering giving FFXIV a proper shot after a brief experience with it before. However, there's one aspect of MMOs that I'm quite sensitive to and that's FOMO. Bungie summits are a really cool idea, but I wish communication around them was more developed. Every now and again, Bungie will host a summit, bringing in players from a variety of communities and experiences, to showcase upcoming features to Destiny, and have discussions on various topics, or so I presume. Over the years, the wider community has heard discussions on these summits, but mostly, almost entirely, from the players who have attended, and I feel communication around them has become less detailed over the years. The first that I recall for Destiny 2 was before the Warmind expansion. It was an exciting time, with the wider community excited to hear more about the upcoming expansion, the Fall DLC, and hoping for some big shakeups. At first, the players who went did not say much, just that they were selected and excited. As a lore enthusiast, I was happy to see that Matt from Myelin Games was going, and that he had developed a survey beforehand, featuring some 5,000 responses from the community on different topics relating to story, narrative, and lore.
