How to use campfire kit project zomboid? ›

To place it, right-click on the ground and select "Build a fire" when the kit is in the player's inventory. The campfire will be placed, but will not be on fire. To light the campfire, the player requires a fuel item, and either a lighter, matches, or a notched wooden plank with a sturdy stick.

While zombies take slightly longer to kill with fire than a survivor, they are not immune to it. Because fire creates a lot of sound, fire will attract zombies; as such it can be used to create a (potentially expensive) distraction by igniting a building, or by setting fire to a group of zombies themselves.

Do not try and place the bodies while the campfire is lit, or you have a high chance of causing your character severe burns. If the body doesn't disappear within around 15 seconds, it's likely because it isn't touching the fire. Douse the flames, move the body, and then light it again.

To cook in Project Zomboid, you need to find some food and somewhere to cook it. You can cook food in an oven or on a campfire. Ovens are easier to use, but they require electricity so you'll probably need to shift over to a campfire if you survive a while.

Below that, you will find the volume controls. If you press the speaker icon, it will mute the TV entirely. The noise can attract zombies, so make sure you know how to fortify your base in Project Zomboid. Underneath, you can use the media section to put VHS tapes into the TV and play the show.

Tall fences are large tiles, they are best used to provide defense to the player, slowing and, sometimes, completely blocking zombie's passage. Tall fences also block vehicles from crossing. Players can try to climb over tall fences, by pressing or holding the key E , while zombies can't.

Behavior. Zombies rely on their eyesight and hearing, they're especially drawn to noises such as radios, running vehicles and gunfire.

Nausea can be caused by a variety of factors, including zombieization, eating or drinking badly, being outside in cold or damp weather, and other situations. Regretfully, once a zombie bites you, transformation is unavoidable; there is no cure for zombification.

Even when turned off, ovens still can cook food. If food is left unattended inside an oven that was recently turned off, it can catch fire and spread.

How do you use a tent kit in PZ? ›

The tent can be placed anywhere. Simply right-click the floor and click the 'Put up tent' option in the menu if the tent is in the characters main inventory. When the tent is built, it will be a structure of dimensions 2x1x1 where you can sleep with an average bed quality.
